Bangtan Soonyeondan (BTS) of Big Hit Entertainment, has made a mark in the K-Pop world for it’s characteristic storytelling MV’s. With the tease of 7 WINGS short films, they have finally ended the wait for their comeback. BTS is back, ARMYs!
WINGS is the second studio album by the 3 year old boygroup, and has sold over 500,000 copies during it’s first week of preorders. The album will contain over 15 tracks, with hints of solo tracks circulating across the internet already.
A Big Hit official had stated earlier that the concept was inspired by Herman Hesse’s Demian (which also spiked suddenly on the list of classics to be read – coincidence? We think not.)
Blood, Sweat & Tears, is the title song for BTS’s second studio album WINGS, and showcases the 7 boys dressed in rich silky attire and telling their own story of youth’s struggles. Carrying on from the themes laid out in the 7 short films before, the MV has a hidden story of finally waking up from the peaceful mirage of childhood, and breaking into the big bad world of adolescents and adults. All the boys are seen enjoying a luxurious and peaceful life, and suddenly waking up to the ugliness that surrounds them. Looks like the fragility of the mirage of childhood peace, is a vibrant theme with this comeback!
Check out the much anticipated MV below, and let us know your theories. You never know, maybe we might incorporate some in our theory post. (soon to come!)
