EXO Lay’s latest movie ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ to be partly shot in India

The filming for ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ has begun in Dubai and currently 100 international crew are in Dubai along with the cast. The Dubai shoot is for 33 days and will conclude on October 30 which will have a series of car chase sequences and action scenes.

In our earlier article, we had quoted Jackie Chan saying,  “I am planning to start a new movie called Kung Fu Yoga. So, I will be returning to film it in India. Hopefully, we will start filming in autumn.” and we wished he would keep his word! Well, seems like Jackie Chan is definitely a man of his words. In the recently ended Silk Road International Film Festival in China’s Fuzhou, Jackie Chan said that he was looking forward to act in this movie and that he would be visiting India soon for a later schedule of the shoot. He was rushed off to Dubai immediately after the festival’s closing ceremony. The filming is expected to shift to Beijing and then to India.

With India being known to have beautiful locations and one of India’s major production company being a part of this movie, it is no surprise that a part of the filming would take place in the country however, it has not been stated which part of India, the shooting will take place.

As of now,  although Lay is confirmed as a cast of this movie, there has been no news on the role he will  playing or whether he would come down to India for the shoot but this definitely raises hopes for the Indian EXO-L’s who have been waiting eagerly for EXO especially after Suho’s visit to Mumbai this year for the shoot of KBS show, ‘Fluterring India’.

Kung Fu Yoga is directed by Stanley Tong and Lay will be sharing the screen with noted actors Jackie Chan, Tiger Shroff, Aarif Rahman and Ming Hu. Indian Actor Sonu Sood is also reportedly filming for the movie as the parallel lead. The movie is action, adventure, comedy movie and is expected to release on 2016. It maybe mentioned that ‘Kung Fu Yoga’  is the first of the 3 film agreement under the  India-China co-production agreement which was signed during President Xi Jinping’s visit in India last September.
