Big Bang’s GDragon, Super Junior’s Siwon, Actor Kim Soo Hyun, Opera Artist Lim Hyung Joo, Girls Generation’s Yoona and Skater Luna Kim have got their name in the Forbes Inaugural 30 Under 30 2016 Asia list under the category of Entertainment and Sports. They all are the young impresarios who work their craft on the court and the silver screen.
In an industry full of lookalike boy bands, singer/rapper G-Dragon (yong is dragon in Korean) stands out. The K-pop star has already been on two solo world tours, thanks to a loyal international following. And a cutting-edge style has made him a front-row fixture at Chanel shows. Though in the business since age 5, G-Dragon rose to fame as part of the group Bigbang.
GDragon shared “I think not getting much attention from the start actually helped me build a stronger career.” For a successful career, he added “It may sound like a cliché, but I think maintaining one’s original intention is the best career advice I’ve been given.”
