Mark your calendars everyone! The new MBC drama starring Lee Jin Wook and Moon Chae Won, ‘Goodbye Mr. Black’ is confirmed to premiere on March 16th at 10PM (KST). It is set to air on Wednesdays and Thursdays time slot, currently occupied by ‘One More Happy Ending’.
‘Goodbye Mr. Black’ is based on the same title written by Hwang Mi Na and published in 1983. It is said to be motivated by French author Alexandre Dumas’s novel ‘The Count of Monte Cristo.’
The drama recently held their script reading session and filming is currently taking place in Thailand. The revenge melodrama with a star-studded cast and overseas shoots, is one of the most anticipated dramas of 2016.
‘Goodbye Mr. Black’ is the story of Cha Ji Won (aka Mr. Black), played by Lee Jin Wook, who is an UDT officer of the Navy Special Operations Force. Originally a positive and sincere person, he turns into an icon of revenge after getting betrayed by his best friend.
Moon Chae Won, who is returning to the small screen after 3 years has already cut her hair super short for the role of bright and cheerful, Swan.
Swan was left at a dumpster in a poor village in Thailand, but becomes an ace in the market when she grows up.
Joining the leads will be Yoo In Young, Kim Kang Woo, Song Jae Rim, Daniel Henney (Yes! He is back!) and many more.
