It’s Kim Woo Bin’s birthday and we couldn’t pass up this opportunity to celebrate the best of him! How about we reminiscence a little as fans of Woo Bin and go over his best moments?
Actor and Model Kim Woo Bin has had a brilliant career since 2009, when he first debuted as a model for off-the-rack clothing and for Seoul Fashion Week. He made his big acting debut, after slowly falling in love with the art, in 2011 with the drama White Christmas.
Though he had fairly humble beginnings, Woo Bin shot to fame for his role in the 2012 romantic comedy The Gentleman’s Dignity and earned a lot of praise for his supporting role in the drama. After that, it was a roller coaster ride for this actor who managed to land, and master, the roles in School 2013 and another Kim Eun Sook drama The Heirs.
His role in The Heirs as the rich antagonist pitted against Lee Min Ho’s character, got him a lot of praise from his senior actors, and even a nomination in the Baeksang Awards. Clearly, Kim Young Do was a dear character for our Woo Bin, considering that it’s been the centre for several parodies of the hit series.
Though Woo Bin has stolen the hearts of his fans with his bad boy image, he really is a gentleman in real life. His cute and quirky actions following his relationship with famous actress Shin Min Ah, warmed the heart of the country and brought him to the forefront of fame.
Kim Woo Bin doesn’t only stick to dramas. He has taken on some interesting roles such as the immature peter pan who refuses to grow up in Twenty, and the mastermind behind robberies in The Con Artist.
Currently, He acts in the KBS drama Uncontrollably Fond with Bae Suzy, of Miss A. He plays the character of a rich actor who still seems to harbor feelings for his high school love, played by Suzy. It definitely is a romantic comedy that will keep us on the edge of our seats with its painful cliffhangers, and sweet angst between the characters.
Here’s wishing Kim Woo Bin a healthy and a happy birthday! We’ll love your dramas and movies even more in the future!
