Well known actor, singer and now director, Jang Geun Suk will be premiering his short film ‘The Great Legacy‘ at the ‘2016 Busan International Film Festival‘ (BiFan)!
‘The Great Legacy‘ is a story about a father and son where the father loses consciousness, leaving behind savings that can only be accessed with a bank pass book. The son who is obsessed with finding the pass book neglects to take care of his father who is in coma. The short film which noticeably reflects the directing skills of Jang Geun Suk is expected to bring much excitement and anticipation to the audience.
Meanwhile the actor who is currently pursuing his Masters in Film and Theatre studies from Hanyang University, collaborated with his colleagues for the short film ‘The Great Legacy’.
While sharing insights of the film, as a Director he commented on how the present days’ modern people face difficulty in recognizing the love of their fathers. He also added that he believes that the fathers of the present generation are too passive in expressing themselves which makes their son’s feel distant.
The popular actor made his debut as a Director in 2012 with the short film ‘Do You Still Envy Such A Life?’ for which he won a special prize in Japan’s ‘Short Short Film Festival & Asia‘ (SSFS &Asia).
This years BiFan will be held from July 21 to 31.
