YG Entertainment’s headline male idol group Big Bang released their first music in three years, kicking off a multi-month release under the title “Made.” The first two songs “Loser” and “Bae Bae” were released on May 1, with music videos that gained multi-million views within the first 24 hours of release. Several of the members were involved in the creation of both songs.
The music video for “Bae Bae” came under fire due to overtly sexual innuendos, but YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk defended Big Bang’s choice as a sign of the group’s maturity. “Loser” appeared on iTunes music charts, ranking among the top 50 songs in the world.
