‘Train To Busan’ South Korea’s most anticipated movie has been invited to screen at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. The film is scheduled for premier during the festival’s midnight screening.
According to local news outlets Director Yeon Sang-ho, Actors Gong Yoo, Jung Yumi, Kim Soo-an will take part in the world premiere.
While ‘Train To Busan’ is the South Korea’s first zombie-oriented, thriller film, where a disastrous virus hits South Korea, from which passengers traveling in KTX train from Seoul to Busan struggle to survive.
In the movie Gong Yoo will be playing a fund manager and a single dad who raises his daughter played by Kim Soo-an, Tough guy Ma Dong-seok is cast along with Jung Yumi as husband and wife. The other main artists in the movie are Choi Woo-shik who will be a baseball player and Ahn Sohee, who is a high school girl and also a fan of Woo-shik.
Its is director Yeon Sang-ho’s second time at Cannes, he was first invited to the 65th film festival for his animated film ‘The King Of Pigs’.
The 2016 Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 11- 22 in Cannes, France.
