It’s December, the month of major award shows and social media statistics announcements and Tumblr has released it’s official list of the most re-blogged K-Pop artists of the year 2015!
Coming in at #1 were BTS who placed second last year to EXO, with EXO incidentally placing at #2 this year. Rookie boy group Seventeen placed at #4 and KPOP royalty Big Bang placed at #7. The list consists of the top twenty artists that ruled the world of memes, fan art, fan fiction and other multi media content.
The microblogging platform and social networking website’s list is comprehensive and points out to a K-Pop trend that has ruled K-Pop this year. Boy groups consist of thirteen of the twenty listed artists, as well as the first seven places.
2015 definitely seems like the year of the boy groups! However let’s not forget the ladies of K-POP as Girls’ Generation proved their dominance by coming in at #8 which makes them place first in terms of most re-blogged K-Pop girl group! Girls’ Generation are followed by their label mates f(x) and Red Velvet coming in at #9 and #10 respectively.
